After several years of drilling shallow vertical wells in the Pittsburgh area, we successfully transitioned to target deep shale formations. To encourage private investment in American energy, the IRS provides significant tax deductions for companies that invest in drilling natural gas wells. Drilling partnerships allow investors to take advantage of these tax benefits by investing directly into the development of new wells. This generates current year tax deductions to offset taxes on income from other sources. Due to federal regulations, offerings are for accredited investors only.
